Carmen Gomez Carmen Gomez received her B.F.A. at TCU in Ft. Worth, TX in 1995 and her M.F.A. from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX in 2002. Since then she has worked as a professional painter and designer in various theatres in Texas such as Casa Manana and Granbury Opera House. For the past 5 years she has taught design and technical theatre at Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Fl. While there, Gomez co-founded Panama City’s Shakes-By-The-Bay with her husband, Chuck Clay, which continues to bring free Shakespeare to residents of Bay County. She also continued her professional career as a designer for such theatres as Seaside Repertory Theatre in Seaside, FL. Gomez enjoys every aspect of the arts and enjoys finding new ways to inspire future artists the way she was inspired by her mentors.
