Maria Watson is a professional theatre-director, choreographer, actor and dancer.  A New York City-based dancer and actor for 15 years, Ms Watson studied with Ann Reinking, Chet Walker, Tony Stevens and Chris Chadman.  Ms. Watson was classically trained at the Washington School of Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts and in New York.  Also in NYC, she studied directing with Tony Award-wining director, Vivian Matalon, and at the Acting Studio with James Price.  She has been Artistic Director of the Mohawk Theatre Guild in MA, and Millbrook Playhouse in PA, as well as her own Jazz Dance Company, maria watson...dance this here in DC. Ms. Watson is currently a member of JazzDanz DC, a professional dance company based in DC.  A member of the professional Directing union, Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers  she has been Director/Choreographer at the Forestburgh Playhouse in New York for the past 10 years as well as many theatres up and down the East Coast. . Ms Watson is the director of the dance at Georgetown Day High School, on faculty at Ballet NOVA, and is a Guest Artist at George Mason University.
