Presidential Scholars in the Arts

Ten tuition remission competitive Presidential Scholars in the Arts are available through the Department of Theatre and Dance at the George Washington University.
The scholarships are awarded in the areas of dance, acting and design/technical production, based upon information on the application, support materials and the audition/interview process held on the university campus.
The recipient must be an undergraduate student admitted to the entering freshmen class. Recipients must be exceptionally talented, highly trained and widely experienced with intentions of pursuing further training and experience while at the university in either dance, theatre or theatrical design to be considered for one of these highly competitive scholarships.
Recipients must pursue a major or a minor in their area of expertise within the department and are required to register each semester for course work in the area for which the scholarship is awarded. Recipients participate each semester in dance, acting or design technical production activities sponsored or sanctioned by the department. Performance recipients are required to audition each semester for all productions sanctioned by the department. For full scholarship requirements, please contact the Department of Theatre and Dance.
Subject to annual review, the awards are renewed for four years.
