Brent Stansell is a senior at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He graduates in May with a B.A. in English and Dramatic Literature. Brent is spending this entire year working on his Honors Thesis in English examining The Laramie Project. Specifically, Brent is exploring why at this particular time the play is immensely popular, looking at why so many community, university, professional and high school theatres are producing the play, and pondering the possible cultural and social results. He is writing his thesis with financial support from the Enosinian Scholars program at the university, the highest recognition of scholarship given to students at GW. Brent is acting in The Laramie Project and also serves as the dramaturg. He also worked as dramaturg on two previous shows for the GW Mainstage,Enchanted Night and A Chorus Line. |
